Remarkable building for Maine. This dead on shot doesn’t do it justice. The Congregation Bet Ha’am complex incorporates part of the old Thornton Heights Elementary School.

I was on Westbrook Street to look more closely at the remarkable Congregation Bet Ha’am building I’d seen a couple of times from Route 1. Under the bright summer sun these buckets full of mud (it’s been raining for weeks — nothing could have grown in them) just seemed orphaned and sad.
