If you haven’t been in the garden behind the Longfellow House (and the Maine Historical Society building), then you should. It’s a nice oasis of quiet on Congress Street, fifty or yard from Monument Square, where there’s usually something (protest, disburbance) going on and where Preble, Congress and Elm Streets all meet.
