This is part of the marquee of the CityFlatsHotel. They’ve done a very nice job rehabbing an early-20th Century building downtown. Nice details, and they have a café/bar with sidewalk seating!

They have another very spiffy hotel in Holland, on Lake Michigan. We’re not staying at this hotel.

West Side (West Fulton and Stockbridge) neighborhood, where this neighborhood is located, seems Boho, up-and-coming, cool.
