On Congress Street, Downtown.

Second in a series of “benches overlooking Casco Bay with esoteric statements carved into them”.

The first is in South Portland.

If you haven’t been in the garden behind the Longfellow House (and the Maine Historical Society building), then you should. It’s a nice oasis of quiet on Congress Street, fifty or yard from Monument Square, where there’s usually something (protest, disburbance) going on and where Preble, Congress and Elm Streets all meet.
