Starting the “Been There” feature a day early this weekend.
The antenna’s dish is 82 feet in diameter.

You might remember the VLA from the film, “Contact.”
The Very Large Array’s a fantastic place: If you visit New Mexico go to Chaco Canyon, and go to White Sands, and go to the Salinas Mission Pueblos, but definitely visit the VLA.
