A picture from our recent trip to New Mexico.
You might remember the VLA from the film, “Contact.”
The Very Large Array’s a fantastic place: If you visit New Mexico go to Chaco Canyon, and go to White Sands, and go to the Salinas Mission Pueblos, but definitely visit the VLA.
A lot of work was done to rehab the bridge and the pond underneath it in the park the past summer. I just found this not uninteresting picture shot through the bridge’s span and the scaffolding.
