The plowed out road on the left is actually the old railroad bed. I believe it’s to be made an extension of the trail running through Bayside from the Eastern Promenade.

Perhaps Century Tire, or Century Tire’s landlord, will allow pedestrian access to and from the trail. Trader Joe’s landlord does not. They should. I’m thinking of the Trader Joe’s in Arlington, Massachusetts with its access to the Minuteman Trail/Bikeway.

Renys, a Maine department store, took the old LL Bean and Olympia Sports spaces on Congress Street. It should be good for a vibrant, living downtown.
